Mission

Our mission is to be a leader in the Far East in corporate finance and capital markets business; a leader in our selected markets.

We will work hard to assimilate knowledge of products, markets and client’s needs in order to put them to excellent use in bringing optimal strategic and financial solutions for customers. We must be known throughout the business community for the quality of our research on investments and the thoroughness of our due diligence and advisory service for clients.

We will be highly focused on the disciplines of financial engineering through integration of finance with strategy and see transactions in consideration of long-term relationships.

Philosophy

1) Be persistent when attractive opportunity is identified. Do not relent in efforts until mandate is won/deal closed or until there is no chance whatsoever of winning the mandate.

2) Those who want to get things done right always think and act proactively and quickly. Others do so reactively and often too late. If things go quiet on a deal, chances are that competition has gained the upper hand. (Life is something that’s taking place, while you are doing something else.)

3) The only thing more important than the client is our own and our institution’s credibility and respect with the client. Quality research, defensible presentation and innovation are vital for client’s confidence in his selection of Meridien Partners vis a vis our competition.

4) Our business is in the creation of value addedness for the community. Our reward-seeking will be respected by clients in the long run as well. Our earnings are recycled to employees, shareholders and the vaster community in a manner equitable and appropriate.

Rules

1) Set high standards for yourself as well as colleagues and push yourself and others to produce a top quality effort. Be ruthless to yourself.

2) Personal initiative is highly recommended but a propensity to act as a one man band is not. Quality and value can be delivered to you by your colleagues only when you share information with them. Find the most effective and efficient way to build team work.

3) Be selective in what we choose to do because we do not have the range of resources of a large full-service firm.

4) We have the important responsibility for Meridien Partner's capital markets and advisory business with clients conducting business in the Far East. A commitment to getting things done right at each stage and closing deals professionally and profitably for the client and Meridien Partner's is the only way with which to measure our performance and success.
